Spurwing Island offers a variety of accommodation options designed to suit couples, families, and larger groups. During the low season, guests also have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive whole-island bookings for private functions, corporate retreats, family gatherings, or special celebrations. On the island we have space to accommodate up to 50 people at a time.

Tucked among the trees, this spacious house sleeps 8 guests, with extra room in the lounge for beds for children — making it ideal for extended families, reunions and friends travelling together. Hungwe House also has a tea and coffee station and mini-fridge in the lounge area for added convenience. All rooms are fitted with overhead fans to keep you cool in hotter months. Enjoy relaxed island living with shared indoor and outdoor spaces, plenty of room to unwind, and beautiful Lake Kariba surroundings — all while keeping costs reasonable when split between your group.

Our spacious chromadek roofed Chalets offer a touch more luxury, with lavish textures in soft, subtle tones and arguably some of the best views on the island . Thoughtful additions – including a bath in the bathroom , a mini-fridge, a coffee & tea station and private verandah — make your stay even more comfortable. Overhead fans mean you can keep cool in the hotter months and use the space to relax midday in the Kariba heat. Each chalet features two sleeper couches that can fold down to accommodate two children, easily converting the space into a family room. Our chromadeck roofed Luxury Tents, centrally situated on Spurwing Island, accommodate two guests, with the option of having one child on the extra sleeper couch provided. The main bedroom has overhead fans to keep you cool, and is canvas-covered with breathable gauze ends, offering that authentic safari feel — while still being fully secure and enclosed. Sliding doors open onto a small veranda where you can appreciate the Kariba bush, birds and the ocassional grazing impala. The bathroom is a built-up structure at the back of the tent, featuring a modern shower and bathroom facilities, complemented by bold, patterned tiles, cosy textures and thoughtful artwork. These Luxury Tents are a perfect balance of comfort and value.
